Solera Audatex, a global leader in vehicle lifecycle management, has marked a significant achievement in South Africa’s automotive repair industry. In 2024, Solera Audatex invested in upskilling local professionals, training 569 students on-site and an additional 112 students via its online platform, Solera University. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to driving industry growth and advancing vehicle repair standards.
Solera Audatex has bolstered its in-person training program with enhanced features, including live vehicle repair demonstrations. Trainees have provided overwhelmingly positive feedback, highlighting the value of seeing car parts firsthand at the training centre and applying theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, particularly in repair and painting processes.
Jermaine Davids, Southern Africa Claims Director and Chairman of the SA Employee Trust at Solera Audatex South Africa, shared his excitement: “We’re thrilled with the success of our training programs, boasting a remarkable 9.9 Net Promoter Score (NPS). However, we’re not resting on our laurels. We’re committed to further elevating the training experience for all.”
In line with our dedication to industry-leading innovation, Solera Audatex has significantly expanded its vehicle database, adding 31 new models, such as the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro & Tiggo 4 Pro, Haval H6 GT, Ford Mustang, Mahindra XUV & 3X0, and Toyota Vitz, among others. Furthermore, we have delivered 48 successful data updates, ensuring greater precision in repair assessments and data reliability.
“Our advanced analytics tools offer deep insights across eight customer segments, including key metrics such as parts movement, mutation trends, labor and paint assessments, and write-off insights,” says Davids. “This data empowers our customers to stay ahead of industry trends and make informed decisions.”
As part of our commitment to sustainability, Solera Audatex is increasing access to green parts through its expansive network, providing both economic and environmental benefits. Green parts offer up to 22% savings compared to new parts, while reducing sourcing time by 70%. This approach aligns with Solera Audatex’s goal of making a positive impact on both the environment and business operations.
“We distribute over 100 reports monthly to our clients, equipping them with the insights needed to optimize costs, enhance efficiency, and strengthen decision-making capabilities,” adds Davids.
Solera Audatex is not only advancing through technology but also reinforcing its presence in the South African market through strategic partnerships and transformation initiatives. In 2024, Solera Audatex achieved a Level 3 BEE Certification, underscoring our commitment to inclusive growth, supplier diversity, and fostering local talent.
Operating across four lines of business—Vehicle Claims, Vehicle Repairs, Vehicle Solutions, and Fleet Solutions—Solera Audatex continues to leverage global expertise, processing over 1 million claims daily worldwide, to fuel innovation and improve operational efficiency in South Africa’s automotive repair sector.
